Photo Archive- Sea Odyssey-Giant Spectacular-Liverpool 2012.

I haven’t looked at these pictures in the 12 years they were taken. 2012 was an odd year to say the least, so everything surrounding that time just gets put to one side. However, I look back now and it really was a momentous day, watching the giant wake up in Salthouse Dock and then following him through the city. I went on the Friday morning so I didn’t see the little girl or her dog wake up. I like this snippet from the BBC website back in 2012. A giant dog will join a large puppet girl and man for a three-day event in Liverpool to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster.

I like how the city has changed though just in this small part and seeing everyone watching out of the windows and on the rooftops. You meet yourself again when you look at old photos I think. There is also a lot that you forget until you revisit them.

Since 2012, there have been two other events in Liverpool with the giants, but I didn’t end up going.
