Observations-Aurora Borealis-October 2024.

After seeing the aurora earlier this year, I thought that would probably be it for now. But no, AuroraWatch went into full alert mode on the 10th October and off I went outside again to be greeted with nothing. That is until I did a ten minute inbetween part two and put the rubbish out.

There it was! First just a tiny bit of pink, nothing like last time, until it completely erupted into deep reds and greens. Two light beams passed through it and my phone camera captured some sort of sphere around parts of it. I don’t think it was STEVE, but who knows.

Standing outside in my pyjamas and dressing gown, a dog walker went by and mistook me for a strange little old lady that had maybe gotten lost way past 11:30pm. I pointed up to the sky and agreed I was in loungewear, how lovely it was and all was well again. Thankyou for asking all the same.

I wonder if there will be a part three this year?
